Prevention of freezing of gait
We will focus on prevention strategies of freezing of gait. They will use a 10 meter walkway with guiding safety harness for weight-support; C-Mill system for gait experiments (instrumented treadmill with visual and auditory cues); and a support-surface platform which is able to deliver ‘real-life’ multidirectional translations over a long trajectory, for balance experiments. Outcome measures will be derived from force plates, full body kinematics, kinetics and wireless surface EMG, motion analysis system (Vicon) and accelerometers.
